Eye See a Rainbow

So I just happened to be caught in a conversation between two dog lovers during which a dog with two different eye colours was brought up. I say "that happens in humans as well". The reaction is "get out of here", that's not possible. Essentially that it is absurd.

So recalling it now I did some checking and surprise surprise, its called "Complete Heterochromia". Plain Heterochromia involves slight variations in eye colour.

Now I shall treat myself a proverbial cookie because I'm an arrogant SOB!

  4. @ Anoymous: Thank You for pointing that out. I had the choice between a less flattering real picture or this one that looked really good.

The condition is real none the less.

  8. my son was born 2 months ago and he has heterochromia. one eye is completely blue and the other is brown around the pupil. it looks nothing like this picture so i believe its most likely a fake

  9. @Anonymous there are different kinds of heterochromia iridum, your son has one of them, one of the most common ones. it is rare however possible to have two different coloured eyes, which is called COMPLETE heterochromia iridum.
